Wolverine Soft Email Lists

Our email lists are managed by the Lyris Listmanager, which provides many nice features. First, you control your membership and can join or remove yourself from the list as you wish. You don't have to bother with "Remove Me" emails. And you can modify your account yourself if your email address changes. Secondly, all the emails to and from the list will have their subject prefixed with "[wsoft]" for ease of filtering. Thirdly, you can set Lyris to give you a single, daily digest of all the emails sent that day, rather than recieving them as they are sent. This greatly reduces the volume if you do not want your inbox filled with messages.

There are several lists for several purposes in Wolverine Soft. The two main lists of public interest are the discussion list, and the announcements list.

Discussion List

The discussion list is where Wolverine Soft members and other game development enthusiasts can talk together. It is unmoderated, meaning anyone can post, but it is membership-based, meaning that if you are not on the list, you cannot post to the list, or read it. It occasionally has a somewhat high volume (e.g., around the holidays).

To join the discussion list, enter your email address where specified on the following page:

Announcements List

The announcements list is for the Wolverine Soft officers to send out announcements to anyone interested in big news. There is no discussion on this list; only Wolverine Soft officers can send out email on this list. It has a low volume, meaning it's rare to receive more than 1 or 2 emails per week from list list.

Note that you do not need to join the announcements list if you are on the discussion list. The discussion list gets a copy of every email from announcements.
