Ships are controlled with either wired Xbox 360 controllers or a keyboard. Generic joystick controls are possible but not yet configurable. Granicus is controlled with amouse. This game is two to three players, as the Granicus player is optional.
Two players play as space ships shaped roughly as "equals" signs. Their objective is to shoot at and destroy each other. Players may dodge incoming shots either by simply moving out of the way, or by rotating the ship such that the shot flies through the gap between the "lines". Shots bounce off of the perimeter, and may cause friendly fire damage. A third player may control "Granicus" using a mouse, and have the ability to draw barriers across the screen. These barriers block both the shots and the ships themselves. The objective of the Grannicus player is to prevent the ships from destroying each other, winning if more than one ship is remaining at the end of the time limit.
Improvements since 48 hour contest:
Support for keyboard controls for players 1 and 2.
Non-configurable joystick support for player 1.
Lines no longer draw farther than their maximum length.
Lines disappear immediately if there are too many lines on the screen.
Lines turn green if they can be placed, red if they cannot (if there are 5 lines on the screen).
Sounds for line hit, ship hit, and ship destroy.
